As I love cats, it doesn't bother me personally. But really, there should be no pets in pictures posted in mls.

If it was a black cat it could be haunted. Personally i do not think any pet should be in a mls picture but there seem to be more and more.

The agent needs to be more careful in what they are shooting., it does tell the everyone a professional was not taking photos. Many do not want to live in a house where cats have lived. You just turned off a good pool of buyers.

A cat can limit a buyer - especially if they are really allergic to them. I would recommend pets such as dogs and cats not be in MLS photos. However, animals which show a lifestyle can be a wonderful asset. One of the best photos I can recall on a ranch property was a picture of a baby horse taken from inside the barn with the horse standing in the doorway looking out. This tugged at the emotion and showed that the property was set up for a ranch lifestyle.

By the time I see a cat in the photos, I've already seen other photos that tell me the agent doesn't have their seller's best interest in mind - at least not enough to hire a professional photographer.
