While I'm not totally in the dark about the event, I haven't given it much thought.  

So excited! We're traveling so that we can see the total eclipse.

Yes. It takes place on my birthday.

Yes, driving up to North Carolina to see it in the 100% zone.

I'm afraid I haven't given it one minute's worth of thought and totally forget about until someone mentions it.

Yes we are. We are right in the path of it here in Sweetwater Tennessee 

No not really. I just saw a piece where this older couple have been to like 20 of them all around the world. She takes photos, he does the paintings of what they saw.

Not going to be much to see in downtown Chicago. Some special trains for points south are planned for those who really want to view it!

Yes. We're on the edge and will see about 90% coverage. I think we'll watch it from a lakeside camper.

We absolutely plan to see at least partial eclipse in person from Hilton Head condo. Later we will see & hear about the total eclipse in great detail from media & internet sources.

Should be fun!

It will not be total in Minot ND but I'm going to get out there, take a look and maybe shoot a photo or two Peter Mohylsky

We're all set with the glasses and looking forward to it - we're not far from the line either so, we should get a good view of it! It's a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence so, of course, I'm looking forward to it!

careful with your eyes..... that can be very dangerous if you do not have the right type of glasses.....

Can't say I have though to much about it. Not sure we will see much in our area. I know people who are traveling to see it

I think they are interesting but never quite understood the extremes that are gone to for them.

Not really, but apparently it will attract a lot of attention nationwide. I was looking for camera on bhphoto.com and was amazed to see all the different binoculars and glasses available just for the eclipse. BandHphoto.com/Eclipse

I sure am. I even looked into tickets to fly into some of the areas of totality, but they were too expensive. Will have to make do with the 63% coverage in Phoenix.

Nope!  All of the best places to see it will be overbooked and overcrowded, and my view in CA will be OK but not total, so similar to other eclipses I've seen.

I think it's insane how much people are paying to go to the "perfect" spot. The crowds are going to be crazy and an emergency management nightmare. I'm content to stay at home and get in on a nearly total eclipse.  I do hope the weather is clear and not a disappointment to those who make so much effort to go see it.
