We had a class action suit some years ago over insulation that was giving off formaldehyde. Sounds similar.

First I have heard of this issue.
Have not heard of a problem in Middle TN and we are building houses.
Haven't heard a thing in our area about this.
Not a peep in our neck of the woods. A
Not aware it was an issue! Going to investigate
most of our homes are stick framed .... builders don't use trusses....many want a walkup attic....cheap space to finish and it adds to the square footage....
Interesting. I have not heard about this being an issue in my area.
No great post though to inform agents and buyers alike!
good grief Belinda - I'm going to read your blog - I have no idea about this but will reach out to some other folks around here that primarily sell new construction and will also see if builder reps are willing to admit they even use those trusses. Perhaps you've become the 'canary in the coal mine'
Belinda this is a good place to ask this question. After reading your blog post about it it did get to wondering if this issue is more wide spread than we know.
Thanks for the alert. I had heard that marijuana smoke can be corrosive to certain materials...
Belinda Spillman - I have not seen this in MA - yet.
WE do not use that brand
I haven't heard a thing about this in the Charlotte area, Belinda. I hope how soon this is resolved in CO though.
I don't know what manufacturer my builder uses but we don't have any report of problems.
Haven't heard of this either, but then again not a whole lot of new construction either.
I haven't heard about this being an issue here, but will check out your post and perhaps do a little investigating
Bryon Rose has found them in lots of Richmond and Tolls Brother homes in since Dec. 2016. FYI
Closed two new construcions in the last 3 months, and checked - no issues.
seriously? I thought they stopped fire retardent use years ago.
And just for the sake of stirring the pot a little, I am glad you pointed us to your blog in your question since i missed the original post and didn't know about the issue. It was good to get more information - thanks
I am not familiar with this issue.
I've never heard of it so they're probably not available in my area.
News to me!
I haven't run into this.
Oh wow... first I heard of this.
Not good blogging ettiquette pointing a question to your blog.
