I left most of those concerns back in high school. 

The only "likes" I care about are my bride and my son and our inner circle of (some) family and friends. I've been a performer and leader for over 30 years, not everyone thinks I'm their cup of tea...and they shouldn't, since I'm dark brewed coffee. 

I feel like there might be more teen suicides if they add that particular button. The trolls would have a field day.

Anybody who dislikes me is not there in the first place. No people I don't like, that makes no sense. As far as unfriending, I have been Feng Shui-ing my FB for a while now. I've been on FB for a long time and I was still in radio when I started so I had a lot of fans. Some are friends now, the rest are gone. My page is personal now, most connects are personally important to me. I've been clearing the rest. Old high school frenemies who have never actually engaged me don't get access. Acquaintances with 5000 plus followers, with rare exception, gone. I don't want their minions to see my page through their friends comments or likes. And if they're not personal friends, NO local agents.

I do not focus on that or put much energy on it. I prefer to stay positive and focus on positive things and positive people. 

I went through last year and did a lot of unfriending on FB and instagram, to reduce my desire to use those platforms.  No one knows when you do it.  I'm not too overly concerned with FB's like/dislike buttons.

  No need for a button.  If you don't like someone or something, say it... and give a legitimate reason why.

This is a button that we can live without.

It is not nice to dislike people, and to do so publicly only makes it worse, I would not participate.

Well, YouTube's "likes" AND "dislikes" are anonymous. However, even if there was a way for FB to strictly keep "dislikes" undisclosed - I think it would create a lot of unnecessary drama (particularly amongst the teen demographic - think "cyberbullying").

Closest thing there is to a "dislike" option, so far, seems to be the "angry emoji" reaction. - Tim

I only focus on giving the best customer service possible so, that I get no dislikes!

I will say that two people have reviewed my FB page who I've never even met or 'friended' before. I suspect they are agents or their spouses so, I just comment back, "I'm sorry, Jane, we've never met or had the opportunity work together. I do hope that in the future we can though, so you will have the opportunity to change your rating to a 5-star one. Thanks for visiting our page!" 

It might not be a bad idea. I know that many times there is just no place for what people have to say. Most of the time I shut them down for 30 days to give myself a break.

Knowing the egos of most people, I'm not sure the dislike button would have an effect you were hoping for.

Essentially the likes are more about what you post than about you, yourself. I learned a long time ago not to worry about people who won't or don't like me. Some will, some won't, next.

I think this is happening and all over.   Cannot dwell on this, move on.

I would prefer not to see this.

You use unfollow, unfriend, hide for those post you do not like. Now they offer tempo hide.

Probably not. I just skip and move on.

For a split second, it would bother me...Not even a full second...then I would release it..I have to get unsubscribes from my database and sometimes it's from people I least suspect so I have learned to not take it personal..Keep it moving..Next....

In the earliest of days of FB, we were told it was smart to friend everyone.  And then we saw such horror that we culled our "friends" to those we knew.  I have no idea how they felt, but we felt good.  Now, we rarely accept anyone.  A

A 'dislike' or 'Zero Star' review would hurt. My feelings.......

I would launch a retaliatory troll attack.  A 'TROLL_BOT' coupled with a social media dashboard could be very damaging.

Well, that is how I would FEEL, but would do nothing of the sort.

My purpose for writing is to provoke, stimulate or disturb. Dislikes would come with the territory. 

Those who seek to appease everyone have little of substance to say.
