Any business can be stressful Annette. Maybe the best approach is to learn how to un-stress yourself. Practice meditation, go to the gym, get into an organized sport, take a break from the business, meet a friend for lunch, meet with like-minded business people, take a day off, take the dog (a neighbor's dog) for a walk, volunteer for a wellness organization...

Hahaha, my late sister was like that. She was so smart and clever, but we looked at life in diametrically opposed ways. She could mezmerize with words, convince people the sky was green. She was my negative polarity post. If she said move, I would stand completely still. She never took my advice either. LOL
Most of the people that I confide in have great insights and common sense. I do miss my sister, though. We did share the exact same taste in music. 💖💕

I have several people I can turn to, most are members of the AR community. I know the discussion is confidential, and I trust their professional opinions. It is NOT to do the opposite. 

As for doing the opposite ... that would most likely be those I would not ask in the first place. 

No, if I'm stressed so much that I need to share the situation, I share it with someone who will ease my stress...not add to it! 

That would be a waste of time.

I turn to my mentors who's advice is gold.

No. Not that person.  Not again. 

My dog.  Her answer is "Chase squirrels and lizards and bark at people as they walk by."

All businesses are stressful, if you ask me. That being said I remember very, very few painful outcomes... so few that I really can't remember many. I don't share situations like that as I can think through issues for myself. And I definitely would not share with anyone whose advice would be so bad that I'd know upfront to do the opposite.

I am very fortunate to have a partner in my life that I can confide anything with. Unfortunately (maybe fortunately) she often sees the error of my ways and straightens my axx out.

Regarding the real estate business sometimes you just get yourself into a situation that requires you to seek help. While my current brokerage offers help, it is such a large company that it is often impersonal. But I remember a few years ago I worked for a small brokerage and the designated broker was a great manager. He taught me a lot about the business, and always had a way of making you realize that every problem had a solution and it wasn't the end of the world. I still remember his advice.

Actually, I usually keep everything internalized which is not good.

My wife, however, does share her situations with me quite often, and she usually does the opposite of my responses.    ^_~

Good counsel is hard to find. Lean not on your own understanding and seek wisdom for best results. At the very least, ask, seek  knock every opportunity

Nope! I have learned to count to ten and approach a situation in a different way. Stress goes away!

Someone whose response is ALWAYS the wrong advice? No I don't seek that kind of counsel ;-)

I do not get stressed easily. 

It is necessary to share sometimes.

Any business is stressful.Our lives are stressful in general. For me it is yoga and jornaling, since when you share your bad mood or worries with families and friends, you share that awful energy, I care about them too much to do that to them. I share, but in a loving positive way.
