That is in the same category as leaving your cell phone for just 5 minutes and that's when a very important call comes in. It's like the universe is waiting to play this little trick on you.

I think it's for the same reason that it never snows once you buy a snow blower.

Yes. This seems to be the case. 

It's true but it makes you a little crazy. It also packs added value to that vacation.

Every single bloody time! It never fails. It's like someone sends an email to the universe saying... Nina's going away, call her now!

When ever someone complains that things are slow, I tell them to plan a vacation! Murphy's law; things will pick up right before and when you are out of town.

How funny, I had no idea it was a common thing. We always say that because after waiting most of the summer to go away, the second we hit the road it's an offer, a problem or a great buyer that calls!

This seems to be the rule.

It's just you.

It's always like that, Paul. If you want to sell a tough-to-sell listing that's been on the market for way too long with no expectation of selling in sight  - go on vacation, take a long flight out. It will sell for sure with challenging negotiations and extended use of any technology you have at the office that you don't have while traveling.

I tell ya, works every time.

This is so true. Every time I have a vacation coming up, the last couple of days I get so busy. My wife says we need to plan vacations 52 weeks a year.

Murphy's Law!  My first 3 days of my last vacation was all about coming to terms on offers on new listings.   I kept reminding myself it was an absolute blessing but so were the less-filled-with-work days that followed.   Enjoy your time away! 

Why yes, yes it did, now I don't take many vacations.

It does seem to spin up prior to a trip.

Always -we aren't allowed time off

I can’t tell you how many homes I have sold 500+ miles away from home. It’s happened so many times, I’ve considered moving away to stay busy the way I am on vacation.

Last year I went in August and October, and purposely did not prospect, so that my friend watching my business wouldn't be that busy.   It never got crazy busy, and it does usually!
