Not really, I am relishing the peace & quiet as I get older. I'm getting tired of people telling me what to do, what to feel 24/7.

I don't think I could call listening to Sandy as any of the pleasant sources of diversion you mentioned...

Music, mostly Sirius XM.  Will also listen to the Sirius comedy channels (Kevin Hart, Canada Laughs and XL Roundup (that's the Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy channel)).  Sometimes I'll put on Sirius XM 125 The Patriot for good political talk.

I don't tend to listen to podcasts while I'm driving, I would like to do that in my office when I can really focus. When I'm driving, I do like talk radio, but that isn't what I'm usually listening to. I might have one of my CDs in or I'm listening to one of my favorite music stations. So that me and Luna can sing!

Music and Podcasts, pending mood and drive-time, never talk radio.

Definitely music. Either radio or Pandora or Sirius. 

         I just returned from a 2000 mile road trip.  No music, no talk radio, no podcasts.  Just the sounds of the highway.

Around town going from place to place - generally no radio or music.  I prefer peace and quiet so I can focus on the stillness or chaos in my mind (HA). 
On long trips, I do listen. If it happens to be music, I will sing my heart out!

I love to listen to music and sports and occasionally check in on the news.  I'm hoping to start getting books on tape for long trips but haven't done so yet. The public library has them for free.

The policies of city leaders have created such hazardous roadways, with their public service signs flashing, service trucks compelling single lanes, share bicycle surfaces, earpods wandering into the traffic lanes. old folks unwilling to walk to the corner to use the crosswalk, sign spinners, activists clamoring for attention, road debris, the occasional lost alligator crossing the street, public buses, roller bladers and those who  share the  roadway but are convinced the traffic control devices don't apply to them, tourists looking at the water and not the road,  redlight runners, those riders of croch-rockets who you know it is only a matter of time until they go stupid, and the vehicle with the perpetual left turn signal blinking. I can't allow myself to be distracted by self-inflicted disturbance.  With the completion of every ten minute ride I give thanks to have been spared the consequece of all that I witnessed. It is crazy out there and I don't need more distraction.

If I listen to something, it is usually music. Generally, I am using the time to talk on the phone.

There is nothing like rock to drive the process of list, twist, sell. Music is like coffee, it is a motivational drug. XM Alt Nation is my favorite but New Wave, techno, it's all good.

All-news radio unless the time in the car is long enough that I am hearing the same news over and over again. Then I move to a music cd.

I know I should be listening to Zig or Tony Robbins between appointments, go in all frothing at the mouth, but I'm listening to SiriusXM radio and flicking between my political band to music of the 50,60,70's or comedic stations I even listened to the Masters and U.S. Open on the PGA channel! or I plug in the Iphone and listen to Buddy Rich--now THAT really pumps me up!
