I'm seeing nothing this severe in our market but, we are seeing more reductions than in recent years. I think that it's primarily a result of sellers (and their agents too) trying to continue to push the envelope on sales prices.

Call it greed, call it whatever. If priced right, there are buyers on the prowl - even in December!

Top school very desirable neighboorhood lost -12% from Mar to Nov 2018. Avg price is back to Oct 2017; Sold/asked dropped from 120% to 104%, # offers dropped to few from a lot.

Avg school and 30+ min commuting lost -10% from Mar to Nov 2018. Avg price increase is 1% YTY; Sold vs asked dropped from 110% to 102%. No of offers is just a few.

We are seeing numerous price reductions but less than 10%.

Then there is the listing that started at $198,000 with the nearest comp being over $400,000. That property was increased to $298,000 two days later. A blatant attempt to create a bidding war in a market in which there are no longer bidding wars.
