Wow....so many...

Hard to top "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed."

Or "No pain, no gain."

Or "Lose yourself to gain life,' and the whole spectrum of 'lay your life down for another," or "..for such a time as this I have been prepared."

Today, when I consider my behavior, whenI observe the cruelty we inflict and impose on others for 'righteous' reasons, a compassion stirs that reminds me of the depth of but two words, "Jesus wept."

This is not unrelated to Carol's contribution of choosing to know the other person.

Interesting question Richie.  Here is a philosophy that has resonated with me and helped me in life:
The truth is people are the way they are for a reason.  If we would take the time to know their stories, we would be much more forgiving.
