Good luck,  Dean. Duane Gomer has served me well in  California for continuing education requirements.  They have programs for obtaining brokers licensing.

Lumbleau in California blew me away with their prepping. I was the second person to walk-out of the licensing room. Would have been the first but I doubled checked my answers. The answers just flowed from all that quality prepping. I even called the guy and thanked him profusely saying I would tell this story. Here I am Broker and telling it !

I always get my materials from Duane Gomer.  I read, take the practice exams and then take the tests, all online.  Duane Gomer holds in person sessions, too and I hear that people really like them, though I have not attended one.

I have used First Tuesday for renewing my sales license twice. Try them for Broker license prep.

I am a Duane Gomer kind of guy and I never had any desire to take on more liability by becoming a broker in the most litigious state in the nation....

The regular training was more than enough, no need for any extras here.

why not just learn the material and pass the test rather than crash courses.... I'm in MA not CA but there's no magic bullet here for us....

I can't help with the CA part of your question but an agent under me used PassPassPass or something like it and he got his money out of it.

Never heard of PassPassPass. Just StudyStudyStudy and you'll do fine.

You got a few good CA suggestions here. Have no clue. My licenses in Illinois and Florida were pre-computer days!

I do not even recall the company that I used for broker prep exam.  Prior to today, I had not heard of Duane Gomer.  Yet, I see many of my CA AR friends have. I wish you all the best. 

I took my exam back in August and passed on the first attempt.  I used Duane Gomer's exam prep classes and studied my arse off.  I finished the first section in 20 mintues... before the proctors were even setup for people to finish.  The second section took me about 30 minutes.  First one done both times.  Easy-peasy.  I also got the audio downloads from John Henderson's exam prep program.  Listened to those exclusively for a couple weeks.

I went to the La Palma test center.  I live a couple hours north in Ventura County.  I stayed the night and it was well worth it!  Was very well rested and had a hotel room to kill 3 hours in while waiting for the second half of the exam.

All in all, I spent close to $600 between the two exam prep courses and the hotel room.  Best money spent!
