This isn't new and I have seen it over the years.  In my opinion it's not a bad idea to think you are being observed even in the world outside of real estate.

I do not recall ever seeing such a notice. It seems in my area a lot of agents don't read the MLS information.  If they did, they would not be calling me asking questions that are answered in the private remarks.

I'd be posting a notice on the property - in the home.

Every once in awhile in the agents remarks section with notice to buyers. Doesn't bother me at all.

I see such a notification on occasions. I think we will see more of that going forward. I see numerous doorbell video and others types when showing houses.

that was actually added to our disclosure a couple of years ago in GA.  It "puts buyers on notice" that cameras may be in all homes.

Yes, I see lots of warnings and I basically always assume we're being watched in peoples' homes, since the surveillance is so common now from RING to Nanny Cams and blatant web cams everywhere.

Our mls provided "rules" for this quite some time ago now... but I don't see most agents following them with those notices. Yet, we go into houses and we can see that there is surveillance and probably recording.

I am seeing them more often.  I do ask the clients to save their remarks until we have finished with the viewing because they are not only seeing but hearing what they say. Disclose up front.

Jeff,

Perhaps it is a new CA law.  I know that stores disclose it, like Albertson's and Von's.  I would assume that all homes especially on the higher end have video surveillance.  I think that it is a good thing that the agent disclosed it.

Should be "...you're being recorded."

And no, I don't see these.  Saw one listing where the agent put a flyer in the kitchen with the disclosure... but there were no cameras on the property.

Occasionally, I do see it Jeff, not often. If homeowners or tenants are recording while people come through, it needs to be stated. I always tell clients they may be recorded and to save the excitement when we get down the road!
