I did not notice, but it is enlightening...

Why do agents and brokers even have a fee, if they can't stick to it?  

The only reason is because those in the business are always too eager to give away their paycheck...just like most "shake in their shoes" if some common issue comes up.  

I have never had a "good" listing agent ask me to cut commission...everyone just needs to stop it

If everyone would stop, consumers will not expect it.

I'm not sure why this is surprising.  Last week my grocery store had certain items on sale.  This week, they are no longer on sale.

Many businesses offer promotions to entice buyers, but they can't do it forever.  That does not mean it was a bad decision to offer it in the first place.  

Also, I don't begrudge any investor for wanting to make money.  Don't you want to make money when you invest?

When the economy is good...why offer incentives? Also those that did offer coupons, rebates or discounts to do business with them knew it hard to get out of that model once triggered. A good economy allows them to escape it...

Everyone wants to dig deeper into the pocket of the real estate agents.

Those disappearing rebates do not reappear in the agents account.  They are absorbed by those companies.

And agents throughout history have shown they will pay others 20, 30, 40, 50 percent of their compensation to a 'no value added' middle man.

Referring agents are also included in the 'no value added' category.

There however is a bigger game in motion that will reduce agent net income and reduce agent options. (this game does not reduce the cost of a real estate transaction to the consumer) One need only observe the collusion between NAR, franchises, associations and Zdevil to see the end game.

Agree with you. Investors are looking for a payday and many of these companies will cease to exist, or just adopt the traditional business models.
