If I was interested in that kind of thing I would go to my State's website on Professional Regulations and look it up. However, I would rather stay focused on positive interactions with clients and fellow Realtors.

Don't do it. Don't mess up. You don't want to find out what the sanctions are. Once you find out it's too late & then there is no going back.

This is a very annoying question... almost as annoying as someone asking it anonymously. Why focus on the negative, why not learn how to sell houses at what ever poor excuse of a real estate school you are attending?

The sanction is like getting a bad report card in high school. D or an F remains a problem and teachers/parents hold you accountable. It is part of your performance for that period of time. A sanction follows the same path

The thing is to focus on the positive, not look at the worst. It is no secret that jail, loss of license and fines is availabe if you break the law.

In Oregon, the worse sanction is revocation of the license. The cause of the revocation may also be reported to the authorities. A criminal conviction or jail time is not part of possible penalties by the Oregon Real Estate Agency.

Losing your license...I am on Professional Standards at the state level & Grievance & Ethics at the local level- I am baffled that in some cases agents do things that end up undermining themselves, our profession & the industry...It still is hard & somewhat expensive to actually become a RE Agent...I just think why in the world would agents put their licenses in jeopardy, it's like burning money in a pile...
