It will depend on how much government intervention there is!

If it is more we are doomed.

All public figures were championing all the business start-up and innovation taken place because of the great wisdom of public leaders.

They will all be gone.

200.000 um-employed wait staff will take the 200,000 new jobs at Amazon, Walmart, Depot  and Publix Grocery.

Lock down minimum wage workers available. 30% of restaurants GONE.

Temporary need evaporatates....200,000 kicked to the curb.

WHILE property values, sale prices and rent continues to increase.

"Will work for Food!" "Lost job. Wife 3 kids. Anything will help!"  Will we be repulsed or demonstrate compassion.

What I hope to see is small business owners, like real estate agents spend a day considering what other businesses will need to succeed.

How can the two collaborate to make both stronger.
How can an agent leverage their marketing enterprise to help their #1 provider of the Open House goodies?
In what ways can I help  A&M Mechanics let the community know they are open for business.

It is understanding this collaboration opportunity, and the investment it may require, that will return to you ten fold, in ways unexpected.

I think it will be very hard on the brick and mortar stores in myn area John Juarez . My office is downtown and I can see a real lack of traffic here.

Yesterday we went to the drive-up at Taco John's and at Noon on a Sunday we were the only customers. Even those offering "curbside" as they were are hurting.

We are seeing buyers canceling and sellers not listing - waiting for everything to get more normal before they do.

I think bars and restaurants will be the hardest hit.  They seem to be the only companies truly closed.  Most contractors, gardeners, service providers, pool guys, etc. are still out and about working.  I think some manufacturing will be impacted.  I don't see a horrible economic impact, as many of our jobs are in bio-tech, technology or other office jobs that can be done remotely.  Field workers picking produce should be able to work still with keeping distancing (I'd say food production is a critical industry).

I'm going to reach out to a couple mobile mechanics for my BMW today and see if they're working and get a quote for fixing an AC issue with the car.

Some restaurants and bars will not recover. Some small businesses will not recover. Many will be resilient and make a comeback, some sooner and some later. As for the real estate market the numbers will be in starting in about 30 days!

Enormous, many small businesses will fail.  We might see distressed sales increase by the fall or winter.

I think it's too early to tell. I don't think NC will be hit as hard as other states but, perhaps that is simply wishful thinking.
