what are supporting organizations? I have noticed you cannot expect even 50% of the service that you used to receive before. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't just a grand excuse.

I have a closing today that was somewhat complicated in terms of paperwork because it's an estate and the heir are in different states... attorney did not get paperwork out until late afternoon last Wednesday and then closed from Thursday through Monday. It's been an insane couple of days getting this done for today as the paperwork was not correct and needed revisions for documents that had to be notarized and FedExed. 

I closed a a transaction Monday. No problem and plenty of support from needed parties.

The holidays can definitely create issues with more limited work schedules and staff out for the holidays. But I personally haven't been affected.

I haven't noticed many delays .....a few little hickups but that's about it.

It is incredibly frustrating, Peter! We already deal with attorney and lenders being off on the weekends and Mondays being zooish because NOW they want to chat with us IMMEDIATELY! 

The holidays have added another layer of frustration as now, even the skeleton crew is on holiday! 

If you are talking about an HOA management company that is always an issue regardless of the time of year.

Poor service is a guarantee.

Many are closed and/or most staff taking holiday time off. 

Many are staying at home.

It is the holidays exacerbated by the pandemic. And, customer service has lost its luster.

Manpower is in short supply everywhere.

This time of the year is generally a nightmare. Even worse when Stat holidays fall on the weekend, one less day of work for those working Monday to Friday.

I'm still waiting on a call back from a support person on an urgent issue from two days ago in one of my other lives.

My last two closing went without a hitch or delay.
Both were new construction with builder financing.
I guess when all parties are vested in a timely outcome, things work better.
#3 was a resale to a cash buyer. Also without a hitch although I needed to provide significant elbow grease.

HOA companies have always been difficult to get in touch with and it is worse since the Pandemic has many working from home. I'm sure the holiday hours don't help at all.
