I have lots of stuff come into my inbox without subscribing to anything. I read the headlines and might delve deeper into something that piques my interest.

I can't keep up with the reading that comes to me unsolicited but in which I fine interest. I do not seek to subscribe to more. My day is already full.

Anything we do to share with another has to answer the time-honored: "What's in it for me" question. It can be general or subjective in the answering. Things pertinent to my own little world get my full attention. What I choose has to have meaning & purpose with entertainment coming in a weak last as I enjoy each moment for Life's sake. Because I do much reading, ask a lot of questions, and have always been a guy on the front lines, no need for others' opinions as the living of my life gives great input & feedback. Good question thank you

usefulness or entertaining.... it's really a win when it's both. I subscribe to the GREC newsletter (monthly) which isn't near as good as it used to be when it was in print. I also subscribe to my power company's newsletter that has some cool recipes and some really helpful tips.
What I hate is ending up on lists and getting things I never subscribed to, that is a huge turn off and probably would stop me from doing business with them.

I do not subscribe to newsletters.
I do read various non-real estate blog posts on subjects that interest me.

I enjoy my USCCA monthly newsletter. It's filled with actual cases, charges and outcomes to know where and who membership benefited. It's the one "membership" I feel benefits me the most.

Nothing, newsletters were popular in an age when we were not constantly bombarded with information from all directions.
I do get several dozen newsletters in my email and regular mail, most from people that feel that I need their newsletter more than I feel that I need them.
Unfortunately, most get ignored and never read, a total waste time for those who worked so hard to produce and distribute them.

No I do not. There aren't many people that actually do a good job at one. Some send a short video vs printed info. It all depends on how the sender is viewed. If you are not comfortable with video - please don't do it!

I read the topics that interest me. We get the WSJ and I scan the paper and read the items that I personally find interesting. My husband might read different things. So, when it comes to newsletters, I do the same. If it interest me I read it and if not I delete. I don't subscribe to many because there is a lot of click bait. The headline might seem interesting but the body of the article is junk. One too many newsletters like that and its cancelled.

Typically no. I have already ended up on enough lists, that I am going crazy trying to sort through everythig and do not welcome more inbox stuffing material.

If it's of interest to me personally or contains relevant information about my business, I'll hit the subscribe button, John. Otherwise, I typically set it up to go directly to either my news, junk or trash folder.

Generally, I get onto a list by opting in for a free opt-in or a bundle where I sign up for products. My email list is my most valuable and profitable asset.
In an industry, like real estate, where there are a lot of competitors, most are lukewarm. same in blogging. Differentiate yourself by your opt-in and value you provide.
I get lots of compliments about my emails as I both try to provide value as well as I'm honest and down to earth.
I lose interest and unsub from the ones who don't.
I also find it valuable to subscribe to others that may be in my same area or complementary. Usually 10% of them are good.

Like others have said, we don't have to subscribe to anything, we get so many newsletters without asking. I unsubscribe to many, too many get emailed to me on a daily basis.
