Oh boy Ybor City takes me back! FIL used to send us 'everything' from there . . . and when I got to visit in person and have Cuban sammies and deviled crab, holymoly! Drown in hot sauce! And wash down with Cuban coffee!

Have not had a cuban sandwich since leaving Florida. The variations in the authentic sandwich will leave you hungry for a good one. Not worth the effort.

I was not aware that it was National Cuban Sandwich Day, but somehow I had a craving on Wednesday for a grilled sandwich. I drove to Publix, got all the goodies and made myself a delicious sandwich. I typically do not eat sandwiches, but this one was very good.
