I'm a third-generation REALTOR—though I've either outlived or outlasted five other family members who were brokers, developers, and investors. Now, in this chapter of our lineage, I stand alone as its final link to the real estate industry.

I asked both of my sons if they wanted to be in Real Estate, they both said "NO" My son-in-law got his license about two and a half years ago, he did want to be with my Brokerage, but I declined. I didn't want any Real Estate related issues to come between us. So, he is with another company. 

I laughed when I read this. My family saw some of the things I dealt with early on and said, WOW, no way would I want to be involved in that! hahaha

I've had hubby and 2 sisters-in-law. My SILs moved out of state/town.

Candice A. Donofrio is right.  I'm second generation and the face and active member of the company.  My father is still involved but is not active.

My husband threatened it once...  🤣

Our youngest son works with us, both as a Forester and Realtor.

Our oldest son keeps talking about maybe joining us, however he is plenty busy running a fancy restaurant in Ft Collins.

I have been a Realtor since 1996 and my daughter got her license around 2005.  We have both worked independantly but assist each other whenever possible.

Not really. My wife was a residential loan officer late in my career for some time when we moved to Ft. Myers, Florida. I was a managing broker and asked her to help an in-house loan officer get organized. She did, they left for another opportunity as partners. When her partner moved away, she continued. My son wanted nothing to do with real estate. 

 My brothers John and David are Licensed Florida Building Contractors.   

Sister Marjorie (now retired) is an Attorney, she once held a North Carolina Real Estate Salesperson's license, in conjuction with the Law office she was working with.  

Brother Joe was a commercial painter years ago, he gave that up for a successful career in Tech.
