Greg, once upon a time my blog posts here did bring direct client calls, and they may still to some small degree.  The generic posts (5 things to know about buying a home, etc.) won't win the SEO wars, but hyperlocal stuff can.

Over time, I transitioned a lot of my blog posts regarding subdivisions, specific types of homes or home features to IDX pages on our Wordpress site.  While I don't get buried in business, our niche posts bring us a regular flow of possibilities.

I don't think I have had anyone directly from a blog post but then I don't blog very much.

I think I had one builder call from from out of State and after I showed him all around for two days he opted for a pretty face.

I learned years ago that blogs as bait to catch clients not so good is my experience Greg Cremia think fly fishing. Just cast out the line, see what nibbles or gets caught Greg

Greg, I connected with Buyers as a result of them reading a description of a neighborhood - they wanted to see homes in that neighborhood. Later on, they chose to live in a different part of town. I completed three transactions with them over the years. I used guidance from the ActiveRain Blogging Blueprint for writing that blog post.

It has always been a very occasional type of thing.

More often the blog posts are a reinforcement mechanism where they are referred to us or get an expired postcard from us, google us and find that we are the local authority.

Like videos, the blog posts generate lots of property buyers and help gain plenty of listings Greg Cremia. Not AR but the two primary blogs we upload to on a regular basis. Consistent leads created organically. But you have to feed your channels with worthwhile content.

I've never gotten a client from my Blog that I know of.  It's just another lien in the sea to hope to catch someone.

Greg Cremia surprisingly I have received a few from Facebook. Definitely not from a blog post here in the rain.

Client off a post? Never!

I have had a few blog calls over the years.  Usually when a home I sold resells a few years later and I'm outranking the new listing.  :)  I've also had a few over the years for blogs about open houses in a particular tract... that I wrote to advertise an open house I held five years ago.

Crazy stuff!

My market reports have not created any clients.  I use the blogs mainly to pull in search engine traffic.  I've had some good topics that used to pull in some serious traffic (such as how commissions work).  It never turned into anything, but I had my listings on the sidebar for the blog so there was some exposure there.  It also helped the search engines crawl the listing pages again.

I did get business directly from AR posts years and years ago. 

Today, my niche site generates 100% of my niche business.
