The people I hired to build my websites are no longer in the business. I know many AR peeps who work with Charra Hammett to build websites - she is credible and will do an excellent job for you.  I have hired her to fix things on my website and to train me on using SEO plugins.

     You need to reach out to Charra Hammett and Tammy Emineth. These ladies are talented and in the AR family to help not just get a pretty website. But one that performs, creates leads, increases your listing sale numbers.

     You have to get rid of the costly error message "server not found". In the meantime, link your facebook business page, something, anything than that business costing error message Lauren.

I built my own.  I just found videos on YouTube with tutorials on how to do it.  It took a lot of time, and I am sure it isn't the greatest website out there, but I am pleased with it.

honest answer: there are really only two things a website does, and most agents conflate them.

one is a credibility check — someone googles you after a referral or running into you. they just want to confirm you're real and seem competent. a clean maintained site handles this. doesn't need IDX or $500/month.

the other is actual cold lead gen — a complete stranger searches "homes in [neighborhood]" and finds you. that's a completely different beast. IDX integration, hundreds of area-specific content pages, serious SEO. real geeks territory.

most of the frustration i hear: agents spending $300-500/month on a lead-gen platform because it feels more serious, when really all they needed was a credibility signal. figure out which problem you're actually solving first, then pick the tool.

I had Real Geeks until December, when I shut it down and retired.   They have REALLY good SEO, and I had added 670+ content pages, so got many great leads off it for years.

Retire, but still interested, so parked and will be reading.

My State Realtor Association offers a complimentary website. It’s pretty basic, and I don’t feel I really need anything really fancy.  I'm a small shop, and I'd like to stay that way. I keep the complimentary site, but I use RealSatisfied.com for all my testimonials and direct clients and potential clients there. In my opinion, nothing beats real, verified testimonials when making a decision. Most of my business comes from past clients, referrals, and social media.

Great to see you again Lauren.  I do my own website, but I have the background and enjoy doing that.  Wordpress is still the easiest way to go though there are some newer technologies that may be better, but they don't have the plugin support like WP does.

I just use my KW website.  It does the job however I suspect that most of the business that I get from it starts out on AR or FB.

My website is a Wordpress site, it has been hosted and managed by a website-developer for many years...like always.  Earlier this year, I moved the hosting to SiteGround and literally saved about $400 annually.  Better than that, SiteGround has an AI powered editor that can walk you through anything - I do mean anything - when ever you want to make changes, add a review, anything.  I feel it was a great decision...saved money and now have complete control of my site.  

I don't have one.  I participate in my firm's site which is Boomtown.

I have two, one is Boomtown (they  have a new name, I don't remember it) and the other is hosted by my MLS (Systems Engineering)
