That is a bit like asking whether "this internet thing" is just a passing trend or something here to stay.

AI is not going anywhere. It is already woven into everyday life, and it has been for years through platforms like Google, Netflix, and Amazon, just to name a few. I have personally been using it daily as an assistant for about three years now, and for several years before that I was learning what it could do, back when I still thought it was simply a "new tool".

Once you truly understand AI and get trained on how to use it well, you realize it is far more than a trend. Its uses are nearly unlimited, and its role in business and daily life will only continue to grow.

I think we are in the "Wild West" stage of things Peter Mohylsky, www.athome30a . I believe one or two companies will dominate it and then we just get used to it, like Windows or Mac.

Used to be a feature property blog post Peter Mohylsky, www.athome30a was something with lots of time invested, loaded with helpful advice, personal experience information, links for more to drill down into for more  was the given. 1000, 2000 words thought full personal post rang the feature bell.

Now, forget all that effort, slam bam ask chat, add a little parsley garnish to the copy and paste and voila. Look what I wrote (er...I mean Chat or whatever AI slop outlet "wrote" not me).

Something with under 200 words and not much there has an AI cartoon look photo added nothing from your local area for the feature AR roster. Whoa. Stay original, hand make more personal, real honest posts in your own original voice. Own them when you blog on your own organic channel.

AI is not going away for lazy agents that figure better than nothing who would not "blog" otherwise.

You are not going to silence that steady stream of waste of time. Heck, not just the blog is pure genuine imitation AI.. the blogger is a more and more a bot. Does not even work in a real estate market anywhere but is a passed off as hold it up to the light and wonder is it a real deal counterfeit or not.

Heck, kids are getting kicked out of National Honor Society because they chatted up that amazing but it's my work copy cat and paste piece.

It is still work hard to find the worthwhile in searches for anything online today. If you want more than generic all sounds the same blur when you swipe, scroll rock and roll.

Currently taking a class at the university, AI and Tech in Business.

Amazing the things we are learning and how we can get so much more done in our businesses with the many ways that AI can automate our processes.

My first thought, much along the lines of Thomas J. Nelson, REALTOR ® CRS,ABR,PSA,RCS-D, CFSP was:

Is gravity real?

AI is ongoing - there is no stopping it.

Peter, we are going to see life-changing events with Artificial Intelligence that will astound us between now & the next 5 years. I remember the birth of the internet which didn't catch on for 3-5 years. Also, the fax machine & emails blew us away & then the cell phone. A.I. is on that level. The problem we face? How to control. Also, there is much good here but also opportunity for scams, shams, theft, & much much more. One example of the many good is get a blood test (or any tests), give it to Chat gpt, tell it who you are, your age even your family history & it will diagnose you better than a doctor. The bad? It can pretend to be you & fool the many in wrong hands. Good question Peter Mohylsky, www.athome30a ...let's hear from others

Peter Mohylsky, www.athome30a - I think AI is here to stay. It's not new, it's just very different today, and more acceptable, than when artificial intelligence began in the 1950's. Most of us were unaware and many still don't believe how much it impacts us on a daily basis.

In my opinion, it's not over it's just getting started in schools and the real estate business and there's no going back.

It's ongoing. A local contractor I know just bid on 3 more data centers. Also, 360 acres of 500 are currently being developed for you guessed it, more data centers. Amazon paid 600 million dollars for land to build another data center. Looks like ai and date centers are here to stay.

Hi Peter- AI in some form has been around for years and we've been using it. It was the appetizer. It's here and not going anywhere.

I've got to second what Thomas J. Nelson, REALTOR ® CRS,ABR,PSA,RCS-D, CFSP said.  It's a useful tool, but needs someone who knows what the output should be, to direct it and verify it's work.

When the dot.com boom imploded- the internet didn't end- just the bad companies that were insanely valued.

You can't grow as fast as AI has without some bumps in the road.

I am currently using it on a limited basis- but I see potential. Last week I was playing with a new AI startup focusing on NYC real estate and the President called me the next day to get some feedback. I am excited about the potential- but I did have to break it to the President about the disappointing experience I had with the site. I am more than happy to continue to provide feedback as I truly do see the promise. I tested 3 different properties through the AI- and I was able to provide substantial feedback on the issues for all 3 properties. I think they will be able to address the types of problems I identified- and eventually this could be a really amazing tool.

In the Meat & Potato front line Home Remodeling arena, AI will have its place but basically on the back end helping a contractor streamlining some administrative processes but on the front line where the rubber meets the road and the crew is performing actual work, the AI technology can be prevalent, but its place is not as important.
