Thanks Peter Mohylsky, Broker - yep, time to stock up!!!
I send out 10-12 personal notes per week so I'm still a stamp consumer.

The post office never ending rate increases bolsters the old saying,

"The more things CHANGE,

The more they stay the SAME"

The government is good at putting rent freezes on private landlords, managing and maintaining their properties, yet the government never puts any kind of freeze on the government's own post office postal rates or government's spending in general.

I rarely use stamps now - most everything is done online - the last roll of Forever stamps I bought is only half gone!

So I won't be buying more.

All things Post Office are going up; our post office box is increasing 3%.  I am glad to use email and pay online just for the assurance that things are being delivered.  The Post Office does not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Demand for postal service has trended downwards since there are so many other ways to communicate faster and for less money. Texting and emails rule. Post office loses monet big time these days.

A roll of stamps lasts me a year Peter Mohylsky, Broker so in the name of cost/time management I'll just wait until I need them.

Luckily Being retired I use very few stamps. Online payments, Zelle and other online conveniences are my preferences. Like Kat Palmiotti I have many forever stamps still in the drawer.

I still have a couple rolls of stamps that are nearly a decade old now.  I think the only mail I post is to the IRS and the state tax board.  LOL.

Given the increasing rate of inflation and the fact that congress has approval of postage rates- the increase is likely too small to keep up with expenses but what do I know?

It's been a while since I have bought a stamp, my wife buys them for a few remaining bill that she pays, and any mailings that I do go through a service that puts their own stamp on the card.

Ugh, I don't even know what a stamp costs these days since it seems to go up a bit every year, haha.  I think that I still have a few forever stamps from a few years ago.

Peter Mohylsky, Broker it is probably less expensive than the Pony Express, but not necessarily faster or guaranteed to arrive.

We all know that mailing a letter is cheap compared to the service rendered.  The new higher prices hurt Realtors with their mailouts and all of us when mailing out Christmas Cards.  The incremental price increases do makes sense since the post office is losong millions of dollars each year.

In addition to that they push up all shipping prices. No surprise there, we had $7 gas in Socal that resulted in massive price increases.

I probably have enough stamps to last the rest of my life.  We bought a thousand rolls after forever stamps came out with the liberty bell on them when they were 40 some odd cents.  Still have about 60,000 stamps.
