It seems crazy...these 5 features are amazingly popular & drive many homebuying decisions. Why would they be considered unnecessary? Well, because of their popularity, homes with these features often sell at a premium. If you don't need these features, why pay for them? They cost more money, both at the beginning with a higher purchase price, then ongoing higher expenses (taxes, home maintenance, etc.).Empty nesters, those working from home and/or retirees with no children at home typically don't need the short commute, big yard, top school district (with its higher taxes) & big house: that's 4 out of the 5 features!
