(House to Home, Inc. - Denver Real Estate - 720-231-6373)
Over the last couple of years, Denver has seen a frenzied market, with Sellers definitely "driving the bus".    The prices have skyrocketed, and buyers are still trying to secure their Dream Home. Many of my buyers ask when it says AS-IS in the MLS, what does that mean for them?    USUALLY, that means the Seller will do NOTHING when it comes to repairs/replacements.    What you see, is what you get!    BUT, I have had buyers write a very good offer (over list price) and get some things done.     Many times this has everything to do with how the listing agent does business.   Sometimes it is a hard-headed Seller.     If a Buyer writes a good offer over list price and has an appraisal gap included with the offer, there could be a chance if it is important, you may get something fixed by t...

Friday Fun…Summer Camp? Sports? How Was Yours Spent?? Summer is definitely in full bloom and kids are loving it!  We’ve seen groups of preteens working out at the parks as part of a school-sponsored summer program. Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve has fishing, canoeing, and other fun activities as well.  In the early evenings, I love hearing the children on our street out on their bicycles and just having fun.                                                                        My mind wandered back to my childhood and what we did in the summer.  We Vacation Bible School for a few weeks.  But what I remembered was the time spent playing or doing something outside. My cousins (who lived nearby) and I played outdoors as long as we could. The kids from down the block also came over.  We often...

Both buyers and sellers benefit from the convenience of real estate websites. They play an important function as a route for the professional service providers who contribute to the transaction. Businesses including realtors, banks, mortgage experts, and inspectors can advertise on the platform to generate leads. The best real estate websites are listed below:HouzeoIf you are worried about How to list on MLS, then you are at the right place. Sellers that choose to self-list their properties on the MLS and pay a fixed fee supply Houzeo listings. It serves as a location to look for homes for sale and a means of listing your home on websites for sale by owner. They connect to the MLS like other flat fee brokerages and advertise properties on websites like Redfin and Zillow. Houzeo may only...

“Nearly 50 Years of Working Together” We are at it again Joe. Thinking back, we did our first transaction in 1974, the world was a much different place. In any case we will be putting our current home on the market and Beth is retiring next month and we will be moving to Florida. We will also be selling out current Florida home and from the proceeds buy our final home. We have a lot of equity in both properties, but still want to have you get us a mortgage as we will still need to interest write off that has been very good for us. Send me a list of what you need so that you can put a letter together for us. We will be using the same Realtor that you referred us too a number of years ago. In advance thank you for all your help throughout the years and NOW! What a good feeling of doing bu...

Predictably Unpredictable. . .  One month has ended.  And today, another begins.   But this time, six months of 2022 are behind us with six more on the way.   We have previously been "here" - but this time is different. Each moment is unique in some ways. And like others from the past as well.  Perhaps Predictably.  And as this occurs, unpredictable is a word (in all its forms) that seems to be true simultaneously.  Even scouring through the definition of the word prediction will deliver multiple meanings.   The same seems to be true for me whenever I visit a favorite source of quotes.  The results can be overwhelming. The possibilities seem endless while looking for things similar or far, far off the subject.  Perhaps Preposterous.  Happy July.   The image in this post is from canstoc...

Forgetful senior citizensThere was an elderly couple who were in their old age noticed that they were getting a lot more forgetful, so they decided to go to the doctor. The doctor told them that they should start writing things down so they don't forget. They went home and the old lady told her husband to get her a bowl of ice cream. "You might want to write it down," she said. The husband said, "No, no, I can remember that you want a bowl of ice cream." She then told her husband she wanted a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream. "Write it down," she told him, and again he said," No, no, I can remember: you want a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream." Then the old lady said she wants a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. "Write it down," she told her husband and ...

Originally from my hometown of Chicago, this band adopted its name after being informed they could no longer use the name Chicago Transit Authority, their original name. Known early on for their use of a full horn section, unusual for the time they had hit after hit with songs like Color My World and Make Me Smile. In 1978 guitarist Terry Kath died in a tragic accident and his hard-charging guitar and distinctive deep voice changed the band's sound. In 1982 they released their 16th album which broke away from their old sound reducing the use of horns in exchange for use of synthesizers. Chicago 16 was well received and reached platinum status on the Billboard album chart. Our song Hard to Say I’m Sorry was included in the album Chicago 16 and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Setbacks - How to move on and get back on track.Setbacks are a fact of life.Without a doubt, setbacks can have dramatic negative effects of all of us if we all allow them to.  Despite our best intentions and well-laid-plans, life doesn’t always go according to our hopes and expectations. We all experience setbacks, both small and large and sometimes we are overwhelmed with frustration. Sometimes it  feels hopeless and stressful and then the self doubts start to creep in.  Always remember there is always hope, and it starts with our mindset and how we chose to view life’s inevitable setbacks. The very first thing to do is to remember you are human. As much as you want to be perfect and always in control, you’re not; no one is. Think about the many, many successes in life already and know ...
