The Riverside International Chili Cook Off Was A Great Success   An awesome group of people were participating in The Riverside International Chili Cook Off Saturday and it was a great success.  The smells in the air, made you want to stay and sample each and every one.   Meet Hoyt and Susan Patterson who along with their friend Vicky Barker came from Ashville, Al to complete in the competition. The Alabama fans had their gas stove fired up and were cooking the best smelling chili. Heather Allen, Angelia Price, Ali and Kat with the Riverside Fire Department Auxiliary were completing with the other town departments for the people choice winner. Exciting News For Riverside AL                                                                    Riverside Landing In Riverside, Alabama The Riverside, AL area is all  abuzz about the exciting news that was announced by the Mayor Rusty Jessup.  The Mayor announced that Riverside has a grant for Riverside Landing.  Their plans are to install a new gas pump at the boat launch on Logan Martin Lake. It is my understanding they are still waiting on permits. They hope to have the gas pump up and running by Spring 2011.    Riverside charges a small fee to launch your boat. While at the launch, I spoke with several area fishermen and they were thrilled when they read it in the St. Clair New-Aegis.
