Quite a few people are diligently saving for their down payment to purchase a home. Here is the most recent Tempe AZ Real Estate Housing Market Report for September 2021:  After seeing a decrease in the average sales price of Tempe homes over the last two months, the average sales price for September increased $7,259, up to $512,219. After dropping $21,421 in July, and another $11,233 drop in August, this was a good sign heading into the Fall. Here is the most recent Mesa AZ Real Estate Housing Market Report for September 2021:  After reaching a new all-time high of $501,007 for August, the average sales price of Mesa homes decreased to $491,207. This is the first time average home prices in Mesa have decreased this year, after nine straight months of seeing the average sales price of Mesa homes increase. Even though the average sales price decreased, the price per square foot has continued to climb for at least five straight months, increasing from $244/sf in August to $250/sf in September. After decreasing to an all-time low of 20 days on market in June, and increasing over the last two months to 25 DOM in August, the DOM for Mesa in September decreased back down to 24.
