So Excited I Just Got 10,000 Points......NotWhen I opened my email, I received this notice from ActiveRain. I thought it said I received 10,000 points and I am of course a point hog. So what could be better but then of course I realized it did not mean that at all! Apparently this is a mistake but it was nice to hear from AR anyway. Thanks for Reading my Real Estate Blog.....

Real Estate and Homes For Sale in Beaumont, CaliforniaThe Beaumont real estate market is starting to heat up! Yes, the report that came out this week is reflected int our Beaumont, California housing market, but with a few caveats:1. Prices are are the rise, but they aren't skyrocketing. This is good for both Beaumont home sellers and buyers alike:We all learned a valuable lesson from out-of-control prices, and a healthy housing market should reflect the wages and spending capabilities of the home buyer.2. Inventory is low:If you're a seller looking to sell your Beaumont CA home this is good news because competition is low. As a Beaumont home buyer, this does make things a bit more difficult as you will be competing against other home buyers. Be prepared to offer over list price on well...

Throwback Thursday-My First Cruise to Alaska The inner beauty of Alaska  is unbelievable and you feel like you are on top of the world. We almost did not take the land tour but so glad we did. We have been back twice since and loved every moment.             This photo was taken by someone walking by  but it was perfectly aligned and we used it as our Christmas photo that year too.             Just a note here: That morning up in Denali, I told my husband I had to check my email and would be there in 5 minutes. I found a computer behind the service desk and after logging on, I was horrified to find a BPO had been kicked back. Now this bank had given me many REO's so I didn't want to ignore it for 6-8 hours. We didn't have apps on our BlackBerry phones back then so I had to take plain wh...

♥♥Weltanschauung...Love This Idea     Weltanschauung pronounced “welt·an·schau·ung” defined by Webster Dictionary as “World view; philosophy of life; a framework through which to interpret the world”. I would call this their 'Mission Statement'. Additionally, it refers to the framework of ideas and beliefs through which an individual, group or culture interprets the world and interacts with it.   ActiveRain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another. This is what they have done. But the world wide community has been expanded to include other professionals as we all have something to teach each other no matter what our career is.   ActiveRain believes strongly in homeownership and so they strive to ...

How Much Money You Will Need to Close Your Escrow   So you get into escrow and you think you have enough money in the bank but then the fees start showing up and the Home Inspector wants his money now and the appraiser won't go out until the appraisal fee is paid up front and it can go on and on.  Here is a simple guide that shows what most of the fees are and what can be rolled into the loan vs. what you have to pay up front. You will get a detailed statement called a (GFE) Good Faith Estimate.   Lender Fees Loan origination fee. Fee charged by the lender to originate your mortgage, and is typically 1%-2% of the loan amount, depending on the lender you select and the loan program for which you qualify but if your FICO is high, sometimes this is 0 and the lender pays it instead. So ActiveRain has updated their Q&A section. I woke up this morning and decided to explore it. Quickly I found a topic that interests, no scratch that... concerns me. How ActiveRain chooses its gold-laden Featured Posts. I read the question, read other member's answers, then chose to write my own answer. The only problem is my answer got longer and longer and I realized I wanted this to be a blog I received benefits from, not just an answer on the Q&A forum. (By the way, please enlighten me as to what should encourage me to participate in the Q&A forum? Yes, I get the community benefit and the answers I can get about the AR community. But how does it benefit someone that takes time to answer? And shouldn't the Q&A be geared towards the general public as well? I'm not trying to be negati...

DON’T FORGET TO VOTE!! Today is an important day across our great country and their are so many important federal, state and local seats plus many propositions to vote for. Though it is not a presidential election this year, it is still very important so make the effort to get out and vote. If you don't vote, then you really don't have a reason to complain about the state of affairs. Trivia: In 1845, the United States was largely an agrarian society. Farmers often needed a full day to travel by horse-drawn vehicles to the county seat to vote. Tuesday was established as election day because it did not interfere with the Biblical Sabbath or with market day, which was on Wednesday in many towns.  It is wonderful to live in a country where all registered voters have the right to vote. Voter...
