There are a lot of things going on in the world and in our lives as well. I had to share my thoughts with you tonight. I have three Escrows, that I am trying to keep together and as you know there are challenges to deal with and at the same time trying to list new properties and market twelve other listings can be challenging at times. Then to boot, there are many distractions going on in the US as well as in the world. Just to name a few, an Ex President who is fighting a lot of legal issues. This made me think, how insignificant my issues are compared to his.As, I read the headlines about potential Nuclear Wars, thanks to things going on in Ukraine & Russia as well as in the Middle East as in Israel and Iran.Putting all this in perspective, made me think that I do not really have any ... 04/23/2024

Monday Motivation: How to inspire the "non speaker" to speak.One of my favorite books 'Doubling Your Brain Power' address this question and I thought I would share here and see what your thoughts are.The ones who are what we call the silent ones, not just on Active Rain, but in real life.These were the advice given: 1.  Draw them out with praise.2.  Ask pointed questions3. Make comments that provoke response4. Once they start talking do not interrupt.5. Give positive feedback.This reminded me of Active Rain... there are some who fit into this category. There are times when sellers do not want to have the property listed and marketed in the MLS. I am not a fan of it. I believe the more eyes see it on the various platforms the odds are better we get an offer sooner.Then there are times I focus and try to convince my sellers to list it on all the platforms. March always comes around quickly after the short month of February although we did have an extra day with leap year.  Still, here we are already in the final month of the first quarter of 2024. This month I'll touch on the conflicting information out there on the real estate market, inflation and the economy.  A good example is that I recently read in one news outlet that inflation is hovering at 3.9 %; yet another stated 7.9%.  When I go grocery shopping, however, it seems to me that prices have increased closer to 25% to 40%. The same goes when I fill up my car with gas, adding to that here in California our gas prices are even steeper than other states.  Anyway, you get the idea. You may already know that Los Angeles is roughly 60 square miles with many different pockets. Observations by a Beverly Hills Realtor, Endre Barath: Is there a real estate foreclosure wave coming? I have seen headlines that try to promote this idea, that a New Wave of Foreclosures is coming our way. Personally, my take is, those who push this idea are attention seekers who do not know what they are talking about. Their headlines and posts remind me of the Bait & Click concept or maybe they have an ulterior motive??Just to be clear I follow Altos Research & the Multiple Listings Data very closely and have not seen any indication of this “wave”. The short month of February is already approaching double digits and I thought I should send out my monthly observations.  All of us in the greater Los Angeles area were focused on the Atmospheric River four-day rainstorm that deluged us earlier this week. As I log onto my laptop now, I am often greeted with "Create Stunning Images with AI". Thank you, but no, all I wanted to do was log in, check and reply to emails and do some leisurely browsing as I sip my coffee or drink my wine depending on the time of day.
