Vacation Home Sales Boomed in 2014 in the US National Association of Realtors® have reported that "Vacation-Home" sales boomed in 2014. The last peak was back in 2006 but 2014 stats were even higher.   NAR’s '2015 Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey' covering existing- and new-home transactions in 2014, shows vacation-home sales successfully rose to an estimated 1.13 million last year, the highest amount since NAR began the survey in 2003. Playing in the Snow - Big Bear, CA          It's official.  I am a mountain man.  Since moving to California, I've spent a ton of time in the mountains hiking, running, and even playing in the snow during the winter months.  Until a couple weekends ago though, I've never put on a set of skis or a snowboard.  I was invited to spend a weekend with friends on the slopes and figured, why not?  Turns out, I LOVE snowboarding.          We headed up to Big Bear on a Friday afternoon, and it was not only my first time snowboarding, but my first time in the San Bernardino mountains.  What a beautiful place!  I had been in the Sierras and the San Gabriels but the San Bernardinos have a look and feel all their own and I really enjoyed it.          The town of Big Bear Lake is quaint and although m... 02/18/2015
