New Years Day Ice Skating At The Beach The location was the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island and the temperature was about 70 degrees. Did I mention that was temperature in the shade. In the sun it was down right hot!  You can see the affect the sun was having on the surface of the ice in the great reflection of the hotel on the surface. Hotel del Coronado is No.10 on TripAdvisor's top 10 haunted hotels, located in Coronado, California. Kate Morgan who apparently committed suicide by shooting herself outside her room in 1892 --- is reportedly haunting the Hotel del Coronado. Her ghost is said to haunt this seaside resort Kate Morgan. Kate was a young woman who checked into the hotel over Thanksgiving weekend under an alias, stayed a few nights, and killed herself on the steps of the hotel leading to the ocean. The room with the most paranormal activities is #3327, very hard to reserve because of it popularity.
