I just love my clients they are like family to me. Just about every other week I am either having lunch or dinner with them, or running into them at the post office and around town (it is my way of getting a hug for the day). That is the best part of my job, becoming a part of your lives. This last summer I had a client appreciation party at Lake Gregory so we could all get together and enjoy one another.  It really was such a good time. Phone numbers were exchanged and new friendships were made. You all are such great people that I had to get you together so you could meet, that much love needs to be spread around.  It is an honor and a privilege to do what I do. I get to represent you and help you through what can be one of the most emotional and biggest decisions of your lives. At th...

I also will be offering you the answers to the questions you might be having about our real estate market here in Crestline.   For instance you might be asking what has been happening so far in this new ye...

Getting away to a mountain resort shouldn't just be for the elite.  Nestled in the San Bernardino mountains are a network of communities that range in price, area and availability.  When coming to our beautiful mountain, the first place people think of is Lake Arrowhead.  It has a gorgeous lake, shops, dining and homes ranging from the low $300,000 range to the $11,000,000 range.... but there is another community up here that offers lake views that might appeal to a more moderate budget. Lake Gregory which is part of the San Bernardino Regional Parks is in the heart of Crestline.  With vast history of early pioneers and tranquil beauty that your children will remember for a lifetime.  With lakeview homes starting at $219,000 and going up to the mid $500,000 range, this makes Lake Gregor...

I went down into Cedarpines Highlands, Burnt Mill Canyon where I have some parcels listed.  I enjoy going there, because of the air and the coolness and the trees and the beauty that is there. There are OLD SOULS in this canyon.  The trees are enormous and plentiful. I once picked up acorns that were the size of those outdoor Christmas lights.  That oak tree is OLD.  It spreads out and makes a beautiful canopy.  I have a pic down at the bottom of this post.                      Tall Pines in Cedarpines Highlands, down in Burnt Mill Canyon.  Blue skies, but the storm was coming in.This is one of the monster trees down in the canyon.  YOu can't tell from the picture, but the base of this tree is probably 50 feet in diameter!  Here are two different oaks.  The acorns I pick up were from t...

Good Afternoon to the community of AR and Beyond...this is more a freeform, my thoughts.I am in such a great mood today.  After the recent fires here on our mountain, it is FINALLY RAINING in CRESTLINE!  And when I mean raining, I mean, DUMPING rain.  It hasn't stopped raining all day long, which is great to really soak the land and refill Lake Gregory, since the firefighting efforts drained our lake slightly.  I am concerned with mudslides, but hopefully there won't be any. It is also a wonderful day because it is the Christmas season and it is my favorite time of year.  Not only is my birthday coming up, we are finally having colder weather and I have been listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Lost Christmas Eve CD.  If you haven't heard of them, immediately go online and look them ...

Fire Pics San Bernardino I was able to take these prior to evacuating, and also on the way down the hill. I was very upset that I had to leave, but since my husband wasn't allowed back up, I thought that it was better that I leave also. Thanks everyone for reading my blog; I have tried to keep everyone up to date regarding the fires. Again, if anyone is unable to come up to check the status of their homes, and cannot find the information on the internet posts I've posted, please email me with your home's location, and as soon as they let people over that side, I will check. Take care and God Bless, Amy

http://www.sbcounty.gov/assessor/Archives/GM_Final_Assessment.pdf To all who view this list, may God be with you and comfort you if your home is on this list.  Crestline's Lake Gregory church is having a community service today at 10:30 am, with a lunch afterwards with beverages and food prepared by the owners of the Chateau Gourmet, which sadly burnt down a few months ago. Take care, and God Bless you all!Amy Steele

Donations Needed for 2007 Southern California Wildfires in the Lake Arrowhead Area (Grass Valley and Slide Wildfires)   These two wildfires started in the San Bernardino Mountains this week. As of today Thursday, October 25 the two fires are still burning and are not fully contained. The towns of Lake Arrowhead, Deer Lodge Park, and Twin Peaks have been affected by the Grass Valley Wildfire while the Slide Wildfire has affected the towns of Running Springs, Green Valley Lake and Arrowbear. Over 500 homes have already been destroyed and thousands of residents remain evacuated.   When the fires are finally out and the residents are allowed to return, many of them will be in need of immediate basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, school supplies, and funds for rental housing deposits, ...

Just saw this on rimoftheworld.net, phone numbers for the task force that is working to create a re-entry plan for areas of Crestline and the Twin Peaks areas, as the threats of fire have been mostly subdued. According to the Crest Forest Fire District, "the two major threats to the Crestline, Twin Peaks areas have been significantly mitigated. Agencies involved are working on creating a re-entry plan for the safe areas of Crestline." RIMOFTHEWORLD.net will provide updates on this as they develop. Or, you can contact the Mountain Area Safety Task Force (MAST) at (909) 355-800 or the USFS Information Line at (909) 881-6949 for updated recorded information.According to CAL Fire Chief Tom O'Keefe in a television interview with KNBC, two remote homes were lost near Lakeview Point between Sn...

11:42 PMSource: eyewitness From: via email - THANK YOU    Update from LAE 10/24: 6PM: Quite the day... What started as a ‘short' tour to visit homes of friends and clients with pets turned into quite a trip. I drove past every home I knew of up here and each was fine with one exception which, I am sorry to say, was a complete loss and was probably one of the very first to be taken. I believe the mountain to be in great shape and in great hands. As I started out this morning I was cornered by a Sheriff's vehicle as I started to drive out of the LAE parking lot where I was keeping it. Fortunately I had called Sheriff Dispatch to warn of my excursion before starting out. I drove some of North Bay, all of Matterhorn, most of Grass Valley, 189 from the Shell Station up through Twin Peaks and...
