When I first moved to Southridge years ago I did not even Know the nature center was right there a few blocks from me. It was not until I overheard two co-workers (former Job? yes I had one) talking about the water park and the nature center in that I investigated and found these little beauties. For my daily exercise I would walk over to the center and just sit and watch the ducks for a few minutes in the morning . It was so peaceful there.     They are usually closed at that time so for a while I never knew what happened on the inside. They offer a wealth of programs many educational. I understand they need volunteers for an exciting new environmental educational program. (volunteer docent group). Here is you opportunity to contribute.  The nature center will introduce students and fa...

By Ila JosephsReports of an exploding job market is good news for Fontana homeowners. The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reported on Sept. 27 that Milken Institute rates the Ontario-San Bernardino-Riverside market as No. 3 among 200 large U.S. metropolitan areas in job creation and retention, ranking just behind Ocala, Florida, and Wilmington, North Carolina. It makes sense. The LA/Ontario International Airport processes passengers and cargo more easily than the vast airport in Los Angeles, major freeways offer quick access, land costs much less than in Los Angeles or Orange counties, and the large number of people who moved to the Inland Empire in search of lower- cost housing provide a ready source of employees. More jobs will bring more people to the area needing a place to live, and gr...
