FREE Lowes 10% off Coupon and Termite Reports at www.EastCountyHomes.info I have lived in Rancho San Diego, CA and it's surrounding neighborhoods since I was two years old when my parents first moved from North Park, CA in 1976 to a three bedroom 2 bath home which at that time was a new development. A lot has changed since our newspaper boy used to ride their horse and deliver our paper, but a lot has kept the same with the great sunny weather and beautiful rolling hills and slower paced life that is just 15 miles from Downtown San Diego and the beaches and Balboa Park. Rancho San Diego Association is comprised of 429 acres, of which 229 acres are beautifully landscaped with green belt and xeroscaped areas.  The Rancho San Diego Association is a self-managed association with an onsite m...

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite Reports at www.JasonKardos.com Dictionary Hill land could be preserved SANDAG considers buying 180 acres By Michele Clock Union-Tribune Staff Writer 2:00 a.m. July 16, 2009 SPRING VALLEY — A Spring Valley hill long poised for a housing development may instead be preserved as open space. The San Diego Association of Governments is evaluating a nearly 180-acre piece of land atop Dictionary Hill for potential purchase and preservation. The land could be acquired as part of SANDAG's environmental mitigation program. Malibu-based developer WWI Properties for years had pushed a proposal to build more than 200 homes on 177 acres of the hill, which is a popular spot for hikers and dog walkers. But the company fell behind on payments and lost the property in a ...

The Top Ten Places I Like to Go In Spring Valley, CA I'd like to share the top 10 places I like to go in Spring Valley, CA. which is an unincorporated community surrounded by La Mesa, Casa de Oro, Mt. Helix, El Cajon, Lemon Grove, and Jamul. These places are in no particular order and include parks, grocery stores, restaurants, and service stations. 1 I happen to live close to one of the oldest grocery stores in Spring Valley, Valley Farm Markets. This store is famous for its meat department and has a friendly staff that is knowledgeable about cuts of meat whether it is a fresh salmon or a quality steak. •2.      A recently newer grocery store addition to Spring Valley is Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market. Located in downtown Casa de Oro, it occupies the building where the old Department...

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com The last update on this project was in the December, 2008 issue and at that time it appeared the project would soon start up again with meaningful work. At that time the next phase was for Otay to approve the plans to put in a new backup water line, approximately 1,000 feet. Back in June, 2008 we wrote in our update that this water line project had been delayed one year because Otay could not shut off the water to replace the valves necessary for diverting water to a backup line, but at that time the valves had been installed to completion. In February we learned that the water line segments would have to undergo structural testing due to the length of time they had been setting out along the road, remember th...

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com Fire District Ballots Mailed and Due In by July 18, 2009 All home and business property owners should have received a ballot in the mail asking you to vote "yes" or "no" on a tax increase to give additional support to the San Miguel Fire District, the sponsors of the ballot initiative. You probably received literature asking you to support it and literature asking you not to support it, remember that the tax is permanent and will be escalated each year by upwards to 4%. Tough times calls for all to cut back, one statistic was interesting, only 4% of calls are actually fires. FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com The May SVCA program was presented by Armando Buelna, the Communication Officer for Otay Water District, a timely program given the current water shortage for Southern California. Approximately 80% of the water consumed in San Diego comes from outside the county (54% is imported from the Colorado River, 28% from Northern California, with 18% from local sources). Otay is one of 24 member agencies that make up the San Diego County Water Authority. Currently part of the supply problem has to do with pumping restrictions out of northern California, this having to do with the Endangered Species Act, too many of a particular fish getting sucked into the pumps, this is being worked on by introducing screens to keep t...

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com On Sunday, June 21st about 25 members under the guidance of Pastor Carlos Camarena conducted their second annual community clean up of Spring Valley. Again EDCO provided three 40ft. Bins and all were filled by the Church members going through the alleyways and streets picking up old mattresses, sofas, etc. This is a result of the SVCA partnering with local churches who care about our community. We especially say thank you to both the Church and EDCO for coming out on Father's Day to clean up the community. One member said, "Don't thank us, this is how we teach our kids about service." Great job by all! FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com

FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com Spring Valley Post Office SVCA's Marie Mendoza recently had a visit with the Spring Valley Post Master and he showed her the construction taking place to enlarge the Austin Street facility. The purpose for the construction is to accommodate the La Mesa Post Office move to Spring Valley, meaning that delivery for both Spring Valley and La Mesa will soon emanate from the Austin Street facility. La Mesa will have a satellite office as opposed to a main office. The postmaster believes, as a result of this expansion, that new businesses could be coming to Spring Valley. FREE 10% Lowes Coupons and Termite reports for clients at www.JasonKardos.com The Highlands Ranch development proposing 211 homes atop Dictionary Hill was withdrawn from county consideration in May, according to the County Planning Department. The 177-acre project site was put up for public auction early this year after the developer, WWI properties, defaulted on a multi-million dollar loan with the property as collateral. The San Diego Union Tribune reported in April that a property management firm took possession of the land after no bids were submitted at a public foreclosure sale listing the value as $4.65 million. The news article also stated that a Caltrans' official said that the San Diego Association of Governments (Sandag) was interested in acquiring the property as part of its...

Freddie Mac modifies Relief Refinance Mortgage programFreddie Mac recently announced several changes to its refinance offering under its Relief Refinance Mortgage program, designed to assist borrowers who are current on their mortgage payments but would benefit from refinancing into mortgages with terms that better position them for long-term homeownership. Borrowers now will be able to refinance a Freddie Mac-owned or guaranteed mortgage with any lender affiliated with Freddie Mac, rather than the lender currently servicing their mortgage. Freddie Mac also is increasing the amount of closing costs that can be rolled into the new refinance mortgage. Borrowers can continue to work with their existing servicer to refinance their mortgage; in most cases the current servicer will not have t...

Dear Constituent: I am reaching out to you via e-mail because time is of the essence! As the State budget crisis rages on, the Governor is proposing to raid local dollars in order to close the widening budget gap. Current plans being considered in Sacramento would mean possible cuts of between $70 million to $800 million to San Diego County government alone. This horrific financial hit would mean dire consequences for the region. Funding for programs that support foster families, seniors and poor children could be decimated. At this moment, critical funding for community parks, libraries and sheriff's deputies also hangs in the balance. The County Board of Supervisors recently launched a website to track which State legislators from San Diego have vowed to protect our local dollars. In ...

Options: A "No Down Payment" Tool by Bernard Hale Zick   One of my students recently told me how he was applying what he learned. This approach gives you 100% financing... the money comes from a hard moneylender! Sound interesting? What you are doing is making it easy for the lender to make up their own mind as to whether or not they want to play the game.  Here's how it worked.   An investor liked fixing up properties. He found the type of house he wanted to buy in June of 1996.  This house was for sale for $150,000.  It had been on the market for six months. The market was soft during this time. When markets are soft, only the cleanest and "most ready for market" houses sell.   The house needed many cosmetic improvements as well as some minor structural modifications to be a top dolla...

The Washington Post Right steps to take before disputing a credit error Credit scores and reports continue to be one of the most important factors in determining whether consumers are extended lines of credit, and the amount they are offered. Credit reports provide lenders with a consumer's credit history, including missed or late payments. Consumers concerned about errors in their credit reports should contact the three major credit bureaus to dispute the inaccuracies. KEEP THIS IN MIND • Not all lenders report to the three major credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion - which means a mistake could appear on one, two, or all three reports. Rather than calling or mailing a dispute letter to one central agency, the errors must be disputed separately with each bureau. • Consumer...
