Sand N’ Straw Community Farm We first heard about the family-run Sand N’ Straw Community Farm from our next door neighbor the other day. Today seemed like a good day to check it out and see what they had to offer. The Farm Stand is open on Saturdays from 9 to 12 noon. You can simply walk in and pick up produce, root vegetables, herbs and fresh eggs. They have other plant-based products as well. Feature photo  is of our haul today.  The Farm Box Program offers 2 types of “Farm Boxes,” a Half Share (5 – 7 different items) or a Full Share (10 – 12 items). A Half Share typically works for 1 or 2 people, while the Full Share is good for 3 to 4 people, for up to a week.
