I thought I would repost this information for those who aren't aware of the power of a community blog to attract potential clients. Our other blog, the Black Rock Community blog is now in the top 17% of all websites on the Internet as ranked by Alexa and in the top 4% of all blogs as ranked by Technorati.  The Black Rock Community blog also appears on Page 1 in Google searches for Black Rock and has had over 19,100 visits from viewers around the world since its inception in 2006.  The number of visits increased from 3,646 in 2007 to 10,403 in 2008.  We are particularly excited about the number of viewers from New York City as many of these buyers contact us directly to learn about the Black Rock community and to buy real estate.  We had 1,401 visits from New York City on the site in 20...

Bridgeport Single Family Homes Sales Update As of November 30,2008 Bridgeport Real Estate is sailing into some very tough head winds.  The number of closed sales through November 30th totals 370 as reported by the Greater Fairfield County MLS.  This is down 25% from 2007.  This would at first glance appear to be relatively good news since most surrounding towns are not as close to last year.  However, this is a multi year trend for the City.  Home Sales are off 60% from the peak year of 2004 when 911 homes had sold in the same time period. With 493 homes for sale, this translates to an average Market Time of 15 months.  Average Selling Price and Median Sales Price are down 20% and 21% respectively from last year. There are plenty of choices, low interest rates and some great investments...

My outside blog, www.blackrockonline.org looks a little strange right now as my hosting service is recovering from a widespread server attack from a hacker.  As soon as the Black Rock Community Blog is back up and running, I'll redirect traffic back to the site.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
