Near the heart of downtown Sarasota, Bungalow Hill is a charming, historic neighborhood with a bit of a storied past. Here you’ll find beautifully upgraded Spanish style homes, modernized bungalows, and even a few contemporary additions.  This west-of-the-trail neighborhood is in a highly desirable area, so many of the homes have been upgraded to include modern luxuries and high-end appointments.  Beautifully eclectic, this is the type of community where residents enjoy evening strolls and neighborly chats. Bungalow Hill is located within easy cycling and moderate walking distance to downtown Sarasota, where you’ll find a surprisingly vibrant life of art and culture that rivals many larger cities.  Sarasota boasts its own ballet, opera, and orchestras.  There are several professional t...

The Bungalow Hill neighborhood just south of downtown Sarasota is is one of those charming parts of town where time seems to have stood still. Bungalow Hill is a 56-lot subdivision developed in the early part of the last century.  In an effort to avoid annexation, Bungalow Hill leaders formed the town of Sarasota Heights in 1917.   They felt that if their money went to the City of Sarasota they would not see the benefit.  However, this attempt never did work out and they eventually became part of the City of Sarasota. This well-maintained and sought after neighborhood is bordered by Hudson Bayou on the north, Bahia Vista on the south, Orange Avenue on the west and Pomelo Avenue on the east.  Based on recent sales in the area, homes range in price from the low $300's to well over $2 mill...
