The trees are most Laurel Oak with a smattering of Live Oak, and at this time of the year they are in their glory as new foliage is bursting forth. Since the Laurel and Live Oaks are not manmade, their populations are made up of hundreds, if not thousands, of strains so the leaf shedding and new leaf emergence phases can each last about a month.
