O‘ahu’s Housing Market Remains SluggishMedian sales prices rise slightly as sales volume dips for both single-family homes and condosHONOLULU – According to resale figures released this week by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®, the spring season started with little momentum. In March, single-family home sales dipped by 2.5% year-over-year and condo sales fell 22.5%. The median sales price for single-family homes rose to $1,100,000, marking a 1.5% year-over-year increase. O‘ahu Housing Market Warms Up in FebruarySingle-family home and condo sales continue to rise despite modest increase in median pricesHONOLULU – According to resale figures released this week by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®,  single-family home sales totaled 179, while condo sales reached 334—a modest gain of 3.5% and 2.8%, respectively. When combined with January sales, 2024 shows continued improvement over 2023, with total year-to-date sales up by 7.2% compared to the same period last year.Both markets experienced year-over-year growth in median sales price. It was intriguing to find that there was only 1 home for sale in Portlock and it was listed for $8,500,000, which sounds a little bit shocking. However, it shouldn't be too surprising as that market has been heating up in Portlock. There's been 2 sales over the past 6 months that are north of $8 million.
