Over the past couple days, I've been working on revamping one of my local websites - Batavia Real Estate. The main reason is that I'm thinking of porting over to the Wordpress platform so I can more easily manage the creation of new pages without having to mess with the coding. Up until now, all of my webpages with the exception of my blogs have been designed and coded by hand in HTML. I also feel like moving to a PHP-based platform is going to give me a lot more flexibility. For example, with PHP I can display recent blog posts in-line from my front page and generate listing detail pages on the fly from a database. There are a couple big drawbacks, so I'm testing it on one of my local websites rather than my main site at www.illinoislandandhomes.com. First, I don't know what the affect...

This month's Batavia Market Update for Single Family Homes has great news for Batavia IL residents and home buyers: the Spring market appears to be off to a great start!
