Remember, a theft from auto is a “Crime of Opportunity” and those who wish to commit those crimes will do so if the opportunity presents itself.  Theft from autos and theft of auto parts are crimes we are seeing occur around the City and not to a s...

Book Suggestion:  A Time To Kill by John Grisham A Time To Kill (1989) by John Grisham. After reading 20 or so of his books, I finally read the first one last year. It is outstanding, as may be expected.  A Time to Kill is the book that launched Grisham’s writing career. The setting of this novel is the small town of Clanton, Mississippi and the primary character is criminal lawyer Jake Brigance.  If you are new to books by John Grisham, I suggest that you read A Time To Kill before reading his best seller Sycamore Row (2013) in which Jake Brigance is also the leading character. However, they do not need to be read in order to be thoroughly enjoyed. What novel are you reading for pleasure this week?   Chrysanthemum, Brookside Gardens IMG_1910Photograph by Roy KelleyRoy and Dolores Kelley...

If you enjoy murder mysteries, this is a series you will enjoy. There are many novels in the Chief Inspector Gamache series. The more recent book, How The Light Gets In, is outstanding!  Click on this link for a list of books by Louise Penny. One of my personal goals is to read a minimum of one novel each week for pleasure.  Chrysanthemum, Brookside Gardens IMG_1913Photograph by Roy KelleyRoy and Dolores Kelley Photographs
