Happy Father's Day - 4 Generations of Swetz's Well here is a priceless photograph taken at Knife Lake in Mora Minnesota around 1992.Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz on the far left, my grandfather Steven Swetz in the middle, my father Robert Swetz Sr pointing at the camera on the far right and my son Jefferey with the red sweat pants. It's been many years since this photo was taken and actually I took it with a timer on the camera. Seems like yesterday and my grandfather passed around 5 years after this photo was taken and I already called my father and wished him a happy Father's Day ;o)

My father quit traveling by air several years ago because of his knees and back, so it's been long time since I've seen him.His last visit to Las Vegas was 2-3 years ago, I can't even remember. And it's been around 4-5 years since I have visited him in Minnesota. There is a friend of mine that sent me a text message yesterday and mentioned that the doctor has given his father 90 hours to live, give or take and my friend is the same age as me.And my friends father mentioned to his children that he (Does Not) want to be hooked up to life support machines, so it's only a matter of days.Between my sister back in Minnesota and my friend telling me about his father, it really has me thinking that Vegas Bob needs to visit his father. So where has all the time gone?  Robert Swetz Jr, Steven Swet...

Robert Swetz (Vegas Bob's) Mother passed away 2:00 Central Time 8-27-2010   Robert Swetz is very sad because he didn't have the chance to say "Goodbye" to his Mother. I received a phone call yesterday from my sister saying our Mother's body was shutting down, and to wait a few days and see what happens. Dorothy Swetz aka (Dorothy Gilbert) was a very loving mother and shall be very missed by all of us. She had been fighting "Cancer" for around 35 years and we all wondered how she continued to be so strong. Dorothy (Dodie) came into our lives when our real Mother had left us when I was around eight years old, and even though Dodie was our step-mother I felt she was our real Mother because she was with us through all these years. I will be heading to Minnesota to spend some time with our F...

Ole and Lena wer expecting.  Ole needed to go out on a business trip and being it's in his custom that the man of the house names the child, he stopped by his brother Lars. Lars, I am going to be out of twon, if Lens has the Baby while I am gone will you name it for me. Ya, sure, said Lars. When Ole returned He stopped by to see Lars and ask if there was a new baby waiting for him. Thar sure is, Lena had Twins! WOW, said Ole, what did you name them. Well the girl I called Da-neese.  Denise, that's a pretty name said Ole...what did you call the other one? Well, that one is a boy...so I called him Da-nephew! AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE. THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO A YOUNG FAMILY I KNOW WHO JUST HAD TWINS 2 DAYS AGO.  ALL ARE DOING FINE.

I hear the news, and I know what everyone thinks.  I have heard that it's a horrible market, and there is no point in trying to sell your house right now.So I'm using this blog to plea with a few of you, and point out to a few of you the truth in one part of Kanabec County. For those of you who live on Knife Lake, it is a SELLERS MARKET.Yep, you read that right!  For example:Last week, on Monday, a property came on the market on Knife Lake.  It was priced at 229,900, bank owned, and needed a lot of updating. There were multiple offers by Wednesday. No joke!I know that I personally have about 6 buyers for Knife Lake lots.  That's just me!   There are many other agents in the area, and I'm sure they have buyers for Knife Lake, too! It's a very sought-after lake, and I strongly suggest that if...
