The Burke Substance Abuse Network (BSAN) has kicked off its campaign to encourage citizens to properly dispose of their unused medications. Through a program named Burke County Operation Drop Box, there are  two safe locations to drop off unused or expired medications, over-the-counter medications, medication samples, pet medications, medicated ointments and lotions, inhalers and unopened epi-pens.Those locations are at the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in Morganton (NC)  and the Valdese Police Department (NC).
