Vacation Bible School on the Crystal Coast  St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Salter Path, North Carolina will be hosting their 1st annual Vacation Bible School. The theme for the week is "It's a Miracle".  They will have lessons each day, but there will also be lots of games, arts & crafts and wonderful snacks.  On Thursday, a local artist will be teaching the children painting, and then their artwork will be on display in the St. Francis Art Gallery throughout the month of July! Trunk-or-Treat on the Crystal Coast Head on over to the Salter Path United Methodist Church for Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween Night.  Not only are they offering treats, they will have Hot Dogs, games, bouncy house and fun for the whole family.  If you are looking for a trick-or-treating alternative, this is perfect.  Salter Path United Methodist Church is located at 1200 Salter Path Road (soundside), right in the center of Bogue Banks Island.    Trunk-or-Treat will be on Halloween Night, October 31st, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.  Wishing you all a safe a happy Halloween! 10/25/2011

  Salter Path Post Office Closing it's Doors!   If you do not have a Post Office box located in the Salter Path Post Office, you may not be aware that they will be closing their doors on November 5th.   So if you stop by there to pick up stamps or mail packages, you will need to head to Atlantic Beach or Emerald Isle Locations starting on November 4th. If you do have a Salter Path Post Office Box you do not need to worry about a new address or a new box & key.  What will happen is..... You can pick up your mail at the Salter Path Location until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.  They will re-locate the P.O. Friday Foto on the Crystal Coast   I love living on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina!   Art Gallery Reception, St. Francis by the Sea Friday, July 2nd, 2010 5:00 - 7:00 PM     The featured artist for July is Evelyn Nateman.  Evelyn was born in Columbus, OH.  She earned her BSc in Education and her M.A. in Adult Education from the Ohio State University.  She then earned a M.H. in Biblical Art, Archaeology, and History from Ohio State and Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  For many years she taught a wide range of subjects including Hebrew, Bible, Ancient and Modern Israel, and art at Congregation Tifereth Israel, in Columbus, grades four through adult.   Evelyn has worked in fabric art for many years, beginning with embroidery, weaving, and all aspects of machine sewing.  She began experimenting with papercutting 20 years ago after seeing an exhibit of papercuts at the Isra... 06/30/2010

Saint Francis by the Sea Art Gallery will be holding a Reception on Friday, June 4th, 2010 from 5 pm - 7 pm. Oxford, NC artist, Leslie Hall Johnson's work will be on display until June 28th and may be viewed Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm.  The paintings on display feature portraits of family, friends and clientsof Leslie Johnson, and is certainly something to see.  Leslie is anative of Oxford, NC, but is known for her art from California toFlorida to New York and Great Britain.  When time allows, Leslie also teaches portrait painting classes at Vance-Granville Community College.   Stop by and enjoy Leslie's Work...It's Amazing.
