According to an article in the Daily Record Newspaper today, there was a fire on Monday 3/31 which destroyed 10 Chatham Township NJ condominiums in the Briarwood Complex located on Sentinel Court.  There are several town home complexes along this strip in Chatham Township.  They don't as of yet know what caused the fire, and there were no injuries reported.  The Red Cross was there to help out any Chatham residents in need, but everyone seemed to be ok.Susan Zanzonico - Weichert, Realtors - Chatham NJ Real Estate 04/01/2008

Today in response to the Mortgage lender turmoil that has been affecting the Stock Bond and Real Estate Markets over the past few weeks, the Federal Reserve Cut the Discount Rate.  The discount rate now sits at 5.75% and is the rate that banks lend money over night to each other.  It is expected that the Federal Reserve will soon cut the more important federal funds rate which currently sits at 5.25%.  The federal funds rate is (The interest rate at which a federal reserve member banking institution lends immediately available funds to another federal reserve member banking institution overnight).According to a artical in the Kansas City Star (KansasCity.com) A big problem is that much of the additional liquidity provided by the Fed hasn't been percolating to where it's needed.
