Mortgage Rate Update 15-Year Fixed Rate Loans A 15-Year Fixed Rate loan works well for borrowers who are nearing retirement and want to be debt-free when they get there. Because payments in a 15-year scenario are amortized over half the length of a 30-Year Fixed Rate loan, the monthly payments will be significantly higher in comparison. Bi-Weekly Mortgage Payment Programs: The Truth Revealed A Bi-Weekly Mortgage is a mortgage where you make "half payments" every two weeks, rather than one payment per month. This results in making the equivalent of 13 monthly payments per year, rather than 12, significantly reducing the time it takes to pay off a thirty year mortgage.  This is done by by taking your normal monthly payment and dividing it by two. Since you would pay 26 bi-weekly payments, by the end of a year you would have paid the equivalent of one extra monthly payment. Fox Chase is a very nice condo community in Smithville, Galloway Township, NJ. These are all one bedroom one bath homes. Here is a chart that shows how the prices have changed since 2005. As you can see prices increased in 2006 then have steadily declined since then. Also, the number of condos that have sold has dropped dramatically from 47 sold in 2005 to just 10 so far this year.
