A Blessing is more than a kind word in Santa Fe... and today in a Walgreens store, a blessing became a gift.Here is the rest of the story. Turn on your imagination and join me in this experience. Imagine being in the check out line of your local Walgreens. The line is small. There is one customer, a woman, in front of me and another behind me, a gentleman. No one is speaking.  News flash...it is snowing in Santa Fe! You may wonder why this is news. Here is why. Santa Fe has been my home for over 25 years and this winter began without snow and even cold temperatures. The deer in my northside foothill neighborhood never left for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. My lilacs began to sprout new growth. Robins appeared two weeks ago and other birds began building spring nests in my portal. All this happened in Santa Fe in the months of December 2017 and January 2018. And every day I wondered when Jim Rohn's line "winter follows fall" would finally be a reality!Today snowflakes arrived unexpectedly. This post is about another example of how my adoption of test marketing for sellers is making a difference in both the time and speed of their property sale. Santa Fe Association of Realtors - news release of overall City and County of Santa Fe home sales statistics for the last quarter of 2016 tells the story of another shift in our Santa Fe real estate market and trends which appear to be looking up! Home sales increased by 16% with 388 units sold the last quarter of 2016 compared to 336 in the last quarter of 2015.  (This increase appears to be continuing as Santa Fe experiences low inventory in 2017). The Santa Fe City median home price leaped 13% from $300,250 in the 4th quarter of 2015 to $339,928 in the last quarter of 2016. The gift of seeing the sun rise over the Sangre de Cristro mountains in Santa Fe is often where my day begins...looking east at dawn for what nature will paint in the sky next. And this is one of the reasons why I love Santa Fe. There is something special in seeing the sun rise. The experience makes me want to pass it forward.  And today I learned it inspired someone to pass an act of kindness forward.  After the sun rose, I found myself in a downtown parking lot looking at my "to do" list to get my brake light bulb fixed.
