This is a local store in Amityville, NY that sells, provides lessons, and tours with paddle boards, kayaking and sailing. 2. Long Island Kayaking Enthusiasts (LIKE) is a meetup group I found when I first began kayaking back in 2011. The group is open to various levels of kayakers and your are always in good hands. Environmental Impacts of New Gas Powered Plant in Brookhaven NY... Caithness II to be built on right side of photo Some months ago Caithness II gas powered electric generating plant in Brookhaven Town was strongly informed that it needed to consider all environmental impacts of that plant before giving its construction the green light. This plant is intended to be constructed next to the existing Caithness plant, just south of the LIE at exit 66. It will have twice the capacity as the existing one, and according to LIPA, it would actually increase the cost of our electricity.
