Oriental Rug Repair MethodsOriental rugs are fabulous floor coverings. An Oriental rug adds warmth, color, and beauty to the floor. It uplifts the whole room. By their very nature, they are subjected to damage-inducing experiences. Oriental rugs often endure spills, moths eat at the fibers, heavy furniture creates irreversible dents, and they are walked upon. Regular cleaning and maintenance keep up a rug's appearance. Some instances require professional restoration or repair to offset the usual wear-and-tear effects. The goal is to prevent any further deterioration or damage and to preserve the value and beauty. When damage occurs, have the rug repaired as soon as possible. Timely repair may prevent an inexpensive, simple repair from becoming an expensive, complicated repair job. Any re...

Who doesn't love Central Park during the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Seasons in New York City?! This amazing 843 acre natural oasis offers such a relief from the hustle and bustle of go-go attitudes. With 42 million visits each year, Central Park is the most frequently visited urban park in the United States. There are FREE events during the summer, while also offering the option to play ball games, row boats, run, stroll or just lounge on the grass and so much more! You are also steps away from world famous museums, such as with the MET and Museum of Natural History. If you are visiting NYC, please do yourself a favor and visit Central Park. You could even take a tour (worth it!)

Central park is one of my favorite park in the world, there are so many corners of the Central Park that I can sit and relax for hours. The color of Central Park also changes through out different season. Today the weather in New York is absolutely perfect and I took a short break to take a stroll in the park. Here is a photo of the pond in front of the San Remo today.

Exploring Central Park In New York City During The Spring Time Who doesn't love New York City during the Spring Time?! I'll admit, usually I am in a mad dash to get out  of NYC after a consultation or event, but when Spring comes around and the temperature is at a perfect 75, trees are blooming and NYC has a peaceful atmosphere, I am more then happy to kick around. After the Feng Shui Tour I provided, I wondered into Central park. I had no agenda but to just relax and enjoy. I treated myself to some mild rock climbing on the "Big Rock." Some of the local children found a new way to get down the rock by riding it like a slide, ouch! For free, I was able to watch a men and women softball league go head to head. There were home-runs, great hits, amazing diving catches as well. This game was...

Pets on Carpets Having a family pet can bring joy to the whole family. Studies show that pet-owners report better health, improved mental health and, especially in the case of children, increased immunity to common illnesses when they have a healthy pet. Pets keep us company, make us feel safe, love us unconditionally and mind the house while we are away…but what exactly do they do to the house when we’re not there? We don’t know what they get up to when we aren’t there and odds are that your canine or feline companion is leaving more than just hair in the rug – dander, strains and odors are likely to be trapped and any moisture left behind by a pet will simply attract more of the same. This sort of four legged traffic can leave rugs looking a little worse for wear very quickly and will...

Chinese Speaking Real Estate agent Eileen Hsu team helped another wonderful couple purchased their second home in Manhattan New York. Working under our company Douglas Elliman Real Estate for nearly 10 years, we have formed many great relationships with our peers, fellow agents and help each other when we can. Months ago, another agent in our company asked us to help them with the buyers to closed on a property, we were glad that we can lend a helping hand.  The buyers, Dr. Liu and Mrs. Liu are highly educated and very successful in business. They were looking to purchase a NYC condo that they can use during the week while they work in Manhattan. We were able to secure a condo in a convenient location near Central Park and they were very happy with the purchase.  At the closing table, t...
