                                                                                JULY 4TH AT HIDDEN HARBOUR Hidden Harbour is located off Angola Road between King and Centennial Roads.  It is a man-made lake with one lake about 50 acres, a canal, and then a smaller 5 acre lake.  The boats are mostly pontoon boats with electric engines.  This past Sunday the boat parade started at 4 p.m. and wound around the two lakes--a lot of water baloons, hoses, squirt guns, etc. made for a party-like atmosphere.    Here are some more pictures of the fun that erupted as the parade went by:       07/08/2010

The fun is about to begin this weekend at Hidden Harbour in Holland, Ohio.  On Sunday, July 4th the boats will be decorated in various themes, water fights will break out, and from young to old it's a great time for all.  I will be taking some pictures and will post them on active rain so that you can see all the fun that makes the 4th of July so much fun.                                                                       07/02/2010

The sixth annual Rollie Run took place June 19 at Community Homecoming Park in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival. Held in memory of Rollie Denker III, a Springfield Township resident and 1979 graduate of Springfield High School who died in 2004, the event raises money for scholarships that are awarded to SHS students who plan to pursue a degree in the medical field. Sherri Koback, an event organizer, said 300 people participated in this year's run/walk, raising more than $2,100 in scholarship money.                                                              COMMUNITY HOMECOMING PARK IN HOLLAND, OH Community Homecoming Park is located off Angola Road between King and Albon Roads.  It is a fairly new park and offers a wide range of athletic activities--soccer, baseball, fishing, and a gazebo for dances and meetings.  It is well maintained and a treasure to be appreciated.
