Being a Realtor is very rewarding.As, I write tonight it's amazing on how many lives you can touch by helping someone sell a home to move on to their next purchase because they have outgrown the current home they are in, or helping someone sell their home because they are facing foreclosure and stopping the whole process, or helping a buyer buy a home that they could of never imagined being in when the were currently renting and the home they just purchased is their own for less then what the could rent.I think alot of times many realtors get discourged and forget what we are really meant to do. I sit here late tonight and I write this blog. Me and My Partner everyday are looking and creating new ideas for the real estate industry. We are always working on something new and innovative for people in our community. We brainstorm on a daily basis on what makes us standout. This is not always easy when your facing thousands of real estate agents in the community.However, we have made what we do work! As a Realtor in today's market we see many different characteristics when it comes to our clients buying homes. We are seeing a lot of people taking precautions. Which they should due to the fact that there were many consumers hit with unpractical lending practices in the past. However, I am seeing a slight increase in people looking for homes in Lake County. Now it's not like 2003 when people were buying homes left and right. But I do see a positive outlook in todays market. I sat up the other night as I could not sleep. Well, as we all know as real-estate proffessionals interest rates are at a 40 year low. The media is killing us with it not being the right time to buy! It's truly a bunch of bull..As I awoke this morning I of course check my email then I go to one of my favirote website inman. As of right now  a 30-year fixed rate is at 6.03%. Ok I may not have been practicing real-estate in the 1980's but when my parents purchased their home in 1983 they received a 18.2% interest rate. People in the 1980's were buying at this massive rate, so for the media to say anything negative on interest rates or home buying in the year of 2007 they have no idea what they are talking about and I really feel they need to go back and research the past.
